Seeing the Seen (MA Thesis Exhibition)
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

I constructed a room with three works inside exploring how to challenge the audience to take a closer look into works;

1. White is not just white #1: a looped video, in which a figure, myself, spinned around the whole time in what seemed to be a white wall,
which later became visible to be strips of masking tapes, of which end was attached to the spinning figure. As the time passed more of the
blue color of the wall, which resembled the color of the tshirt that the figure was wearing, was to be revealed underneath the tape. Just the
sound of the tape being peeled off the wall attracted many audiences.

2. White is not just white #2: five layers of wallpapers were pasted with the patterned-side down onto the wall, revealing only their
blank white side. The room was completely white, except in one corner, where the wallpapers were cut out into flowers to reveal the
patterns of different layers. Only when this corner of the room was witnessed, would the audience realize there was much more than
blankness to the white color of the walls in the room.

3. An unaccessible knowledge pt.2: books were held between two IKEA bookshelves that were placed vertically. It was up to the audience to
see how they were held in that position, or what kind of books they were. Once the books fell on the floor they were kept as they were.
